A few doors down from here, great sandwiches, crepes and atmosphere; also sells take home wine and beer.

Circe’s Grotto - 85 Wentworth Street

Hands down, the best sandwiches and paninis in Charleston. I know the owner and he orders fresh bread delivered every morning, and deli meats sliced on premises.

Miller’s All Day - 120 King Street

Serves uniquely southern all-day breakfast, though some of their dishes are very much for Lunch as well. Full bar and cocktail program. A must visit!

Burbages Grocery – 157 Broad Street

More of a local grocery market than a lunch place, though their butcher counter produce really tasty sandwiches. Probably best for grocery necessities and getting a sandwich to go.

Harken Cafe - 62 Queen Street

This cosy cafe ranked in the top 10 Cafe’s in the US. They have a wide ranging menu for Breakfast, Lunch, or a late afternoon sip of wine. The pastries are astonishingly good.

Big Bad Breakfast - 455 Meeting

Serves an elevated diner breakfast daily from 7:00 AM - 2:30 PM. The chef is award winning John Currence. Here you’ll find interesting twists on breakfast favorites.

Lewis Barbecue - A drive or Uber

Brought to us by the legend John Lewis, whose first restaurant in Austin Texas received many awards for its outstanding barbecue. Having moved to Charleston, it was time for him to repeat the magic. This order at the counter restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating with a full bar. All meats are smoked on-site. A must for any barbecue lover. Open for Lunch, Dinner, or a mid-day snack from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
